input box background colors

A few of our users are having a problem where the form input box background color is white and the text is white. Most of of users have our custom background color in the image upload and login boxes set to gray and the text to white. However, some of them, using IE or FF, are showing up with white backgrounds and white text. I'm not sure where to look other than in the style sheet for my theme and all look fine to me.

Any ideas why some users would see this different than other.

As an added note, I am an admin, yet another admin has the background set wrong somehow when he's logged in. He logged in from another computer and it was fine under his same login. We have the admincp set for regular members and admin set so they can change profile colors or themes.

In the main theme's css, I have CSS Selector: textarea, .bginput background set to #424242 and font set to #FFFFFF. Some users are getting white for both in either browser from certain computers but not from others.
