How can i disable the merge option for moderators

Please can anyone tell me how can i disable the thread/post merge from my moderators.

I have had too many problems with them able to merge threads
is there a way to disable this so that they cant merge topics.

We had a few problems with this one and we got round it by getting Admin and Moderators to practise using it.

Just set up a few threads in you Staff forum and start practising. You could even setup a new test subforum in the Staff area so you can merge threads between main Staff forum and the sub forum.

It will benefit you and your Moderators in the long run because the merge function can be very useful. Much better than seeking out a way to disable it IMHO.

I dont want to disable it completly i still want admins to be able to use it
just not moderators.

Is there anyway this can be done . Please anyone.

You can do it via Moderator permissions but it also removes some other permissions.


Forums & Moderators -> Show all Moderators -> Edit Permissions (individually)
Can Manage Threads = NO

This also removes other permissions (stick, merge, split, etc) so it might not be suitable.

Yes that is why i haven't used that option .
It not sutibale as i still want them to be able to
stick threads.

Please anyone who can tell me how i can go
about acheiving this.
