No it's not shaded. I just wanna remove that column, reverting will not do anything.

I think you would have to modify the FORUMDISPLAY template to take out the colspan="2" for that column that has the status icon and thread icon and then also modify the threadbit template. I think it's called a $thread[statusicon], so do a search in the templates for that term and see which templates it shows up in.
