the purpose of the code tag is to paste code into one's reply without it being actually implemented, yes?

if i copy some programming from a vB template and use the code tag, eg.

"code" template code "/code"

replace:

with:

[

and:

]

it seems to be executed and my reply then gets screwed up and i have to just place the code in a .txt attachment instead.

is there something with my bbcode settings that i need to fix in the ACP?
