Update templates
First of all let me explain myself, I used to have a forum webmaster, not anymore, so I'm basically doing or trying to do the basic stuff myself in order to keep my site running.
There is a place that stated: "There are currently 218 customized template(s) that need to be updated or reverted. Some sections of vBulletin may not function if you do not do this! Click here to view these templates!" When I clicked I can see the name of the Template and tree options: Edit Template View History Revert. If I do click on Edit, will the template edited (updated) by itself or should I do something else?, if so, where do I find "that thing" that is need it in order to replace what's is already wrong w/ the Template or to Update the Template?. Thank you guys! --------------- Added [DATE]1221411756[/DATE] at [TIME]1221411756[/TIME] --------------- PS. I actually believe that my site have DB problems, a few min ago I had a db problem when trying to enter to the site, I did repair/optimized tables and now is not THAT slow anymore. I wonder what the problem could be. I have being the whole week wonderig, trying to find out what can be wrong... sight. --------------- Added [DATE]1221428956[/DATE] at [TIME]1221428956[/TIME] --------------- Anyone? |

What I do is hit View History and then compare my version to the default vbulletin version. I can then decide if I just want to copy/paste stuff from the default vb template into my template or if I just want to Revert it. Only you can make that determination.

Yes but what I mean is from where do I get the template info, there's no link, if I hit Edit would it doit automatically or do I have to do it by myself (looking in the forum for the hack name, look at the template, copy, paste, etc). My site is down though but I'm trying to learn from when I have it with me again.

Nothing gets done 'automatically' in the templates. You need to look at it and decide if it was from a modification or not. That is why whenever I add stuff to a template from a mod, I put comments on both sides of it so I can easily see what I need to add when I upgrade:
HTML Code:
<!-- added because of Mod X --> all the stuff adding <!-- /added because of Mod X --> |

Many thanks Lynn, my site had/has a lot of templates that needs to be updated so I guess if I look on this forum by the name the hack will come up.
Thanks. |
