How To Impliment User Selectable Usergroups?
Ok. Here is what I want to do. I want to have certain usergroups that a member can select in their profile with like a drop down menu. I want to do this so I can have a forum that is only viewable by certain user groups, but I want the user to be able to select the usergroup so I don't have to manually edit each user. How can I impliment this?

Did you happen to figure this out? I'm looking to do something kinda like this, but different... basically force usergroup selection to each user, then force selection during registration for new users. Let me know if you found anything.

Kinda...
In the User CP under "Group Memberships" people can join groups. I then created a Category and assigned forums to it. I then set up each forum to only be viewable by the group it was made forum. I'd still haven't found how to offer it at registration. |

I ahve used the user profile fields and if it's selected then they get joined to the group automatically.
