Uploading PDF
I was wanting upload a pdf file to my site as an attachment,
but when I try to do this I get the error message, Thumbnail creation failed due to your image library not having support for this image type. Is there a function I need to enable in order for this to work? |

AdminCP > Attachments > Attachment Manager > Find the pdf row and select Edit > Go > Display thumbnail for this type? > No > Update
Not sure why this is set to a default of "Yes", seems a bit silly especially when the description says it only applies to image files... |

So you can now upload small pdf files but not larger ones? It may be a php setting that needs to be upped (in which case, yes, you should talk to your host).

Should I be able to zip a pdf. file and add that zip file as an attachment
in order to get around large size pdf files? Has anyone done this? |

Double check you're setting again. (Disable any modifications temporarily too).
It is trying to create a thumbnail by the look of it and you don't have the required PHP extensions for it, so it obviously failing. However disabling the thumbnail creation should have stopped the error. Edit: I just tried this on my test board and even with the "Display thumbnail" set to yes I was still able to upload. |

Why do you continue to have Display thumbnail for this type set to Yes? I just tested that on my site and if I do that, I get the error you are talking about. If I set it to No, all is fine. I think you need to set that to No in order to continue trying to find your problem.
