PHP code to add path forum directory !

Hi,

I have ran into a problem and I think the cause is that I have this code

<img height="50" border="0" align="center" width="50" alt="" src="image.php?u=1"/>

calling for a user avatar to be shown next to there -

"Welcome, xxxxx.
You last visited: Today at xx:xx
Private Messages: Unread 0, Total 0."

Now can someone please tell me, if possible, what the code would be to add the forum directory path to this

src="image.php?u=1"/>
