Members using IP Blockers to avoid ban
I have a member continuously breaking thread highjacking rules. My admins and myself are planning to ban him, but we know him from other diesel forums for getting banned and returning under knew usernames with new emails and is known for using IP Blockers to get past IP banning. I've found this thread, but some of this is over my head. I'm not so IP literate. Post #4 seemed really good, though I'm not sure what some of what he pointed out meant.
Is there a way to identify users using IP Blockers and automatically ban them or at least get a notification of such? I tried getting help at www.vbulletin.com and was suggested to try here. Is there any advice here other then changing code, which is what I don't want to get into? Thanks for your time. |
