dynamically setting a forums style

Hi,

I'd like to set the style to use for a particular forum dynamically based on a parameter that I pass. I think the style is stored in a session variable called $styleid, and that should be modifiable by my scripts.

Can anyone quickly tell me if that's true &/or give me another suggestion?
