paypal woes

was wondering how many of u guys rely on donations to keep your servers going?

don't think i'm alone in this:

but was wondering ur experiences with it?

my site runs on donations but when they see something deemed suspicious [term subject to basically anything when it comes to paypal definition] they limit or freeze the acct and then ask u to send a bunch of info such as:

confirm your paypal credit card - done
confirm social security number - done

provide business info
provide proof of shipping
fax or upload invoice documentations

shipping?, invoice documentations?.....jeez, it ain't easy accepting donations anymore!

i'm posting here because vB has Paid Subcriptions and that is what we use.

it is not a business, but when people donate, we have it set to change their usergroup so that they can have simple things like avatar, attachments, and signature rights.
