Default Is vBulletin's slogan a bit outdated?
Just the way it says 'Instant Community', despite most forum communities sure as hell not being instantly a community, let alone a successful one? Anyone else end up thinking of the amount of people who might actually buy just for a literally instant community without realising how important patience is?

Instant community site would probably be more apt, that's if you don't count the 60-90 minutes upload time for all the files =D

I've done it in quicker. Just uploaded the tar.gz from a 100mbit line, and then extracted via shell Okay well not 2 seconds but easily done in 10seconds if you have the command ready

I've never had vB files take longer then 60 seconds to upload.

I think compared to the time it takes a real life community to develop (like hundreds of years in some cases) I don't think "instant" is a stretch for a vBulletin community.

i don't think the work "instant" mean "in time" but "in no hassle"...

most of the forum softwares i know are more complicated to install... even phpBB which was quicker with the 2.x is now a complicated task in 3.x because of the numerous features to make happen...

actually, the slogan could be refined to be more suitable to the "expandable" way we are now.
