I like the style, the header could be a bit oversharpened though. But good job.

I've always been a fan of the dark red and black look in styles so it comes to no surprise in saying that at first glance that I can say you have a nice clean style on your hands.
However, Just a few grievances that I'll point out starting with the logo. I noticed you have used some kind of hue and saturation filter to give it that red look which I feel spoils your header. Why not leave the original colours? There's no rule in the book that states that everything as to be the same colour (or in this case) red. Try keeping the original images as they where without the hue and saturation filter applied to it. I'd also suggest that for your collapse icons that you re-colour them to a white. Firstly, because it gives off a more prominent look and feel. Mostly because I'm short sighted and blind and I haven't got my contact lenses in and I'm finding it hard to make out the dark red icon against the black background gradient. The Postold.gif and I suspect the postnew.gif should be changed for something that suits the colour them of your style. Vbulletin stock blue and red just don't compliment each other at all so something a little more consistent visually would be better. It's good that you have custom threadmarkers (forum display) but it looks to me that they are for a black matted background and showing remnants of black around the edge. Either re-modify the psd by saving the icons to the colour of the background that they are being placed upon for a crispier more high quality look. Overall. Nice colours, Nice look just a few little changes I think you should make for a more visual pleasing style. |
