The design is clean, nice logo, forum categories are logically organized. Did you try playing around with the color of the orange elements, perhaps slightly darker or changing the hue more towards gold? Just a thought...

i don't know what is your definition of "identical", but as none of the forum in that site have the same kind of topics than the other, and the theme is completely different, the color scheme is way seperate and the icons too, you will have hard time showing to me the result of your comparaisons...

I used to frequent admin fusion, i loved the look, the feel, the staff. It was sold and is now (imo) dead. It is unfortunate.
The other day someone said something about this site adminfuel, when i hit the index i thought to myself, man it looks like AF in a way... i got nothing against either site, adminfuel just interviewed by bud brandon over at vBsetup, i haven't signed up at adminfuel yet but i probably will.... the things that strike me are....first i heard of adminfuel was just about the time adminfusion died off AdminFusion did well to sort of "claim" their acronym "AF" (i know thats not official of course) AF is prominent in the admin fuel header/logo type deal they got there on the sidebars, the tag cloud, FOTM box, and sponsors all remind me of adminfusion adminfusion had a forum matrix for quite some time, adminfuel has a similar feature. nothing here is proprietary, nothing here is "OOO they stole that" this was simply my impression. i don't have to prove anything to anyone, im not really here to prove anything, just giving my opinion. I AM kinda piffed that the original owners of adminfusion sold out to a person who (I'll be nice) is having a hard time running the site, but what am i going to do about that? nothing. I wish both sites the best of luck... -Chase |

The layout looks clean and navigating around is quick and painless so nice work with that.
The style looks okay but incomplete. The navbits_start'gif should be replaced for custom variations. The forum status icons where made to be placed on a white background but you have them placed on a dark grey background resulting in white matte showing around the curved areas. I'd also set about replacing the threadmarkers located in the forum display page. Vbulletin stock threadmarkers look hideous on custom styles so custom variations would be a nice visual step to take. hmmm personally I'm not all that keen on the style so I would base my review to personal preference by the following comments is i think your style (visually) is kind of bland though with a few changes to the style settings could change all that by making a few little colour changes. Goodluck. |

Thanks for the reviews.
@Caddyman, just so you know, AdminFuel is dated back quite a few years, and due to prior work I lost the activity on the site, but since the backend of last year I began working on the site and decided to move it forward. I understand what you mean by the similarities, but I by no means designed the website with AdminFusion in mind. I am currently on holiday, so the developing of the side (including the sidebar) is halted. I too agree that after the selling off of AdminFusion, it isn't the same. @Shelley, thanks for the feedback. I will be working on those changes when I get back from holiday, so I hope it will be much more to your liking |
