Custom vb_user table

i've added another column to the vb_user table, populated it, but i don't know how to actually grab the data from that column and put it in the info of each user.

Can anyone point me to where to look ?

All data is fetched from the user table so it should be present in $vbulletin->userinfo and $bbuserinfo
