Default excessive CPU usage
Hello guys,

i am using 3.7.1 VB , my forum is working fine now but when i looged into my cpnel to check the CPU usage and all, it is showing me this:



i dont know whats going on... some members are also complaining that the forum is loading too slow for them....

Server guys are saying that everything is ok from ther end.....

Please help me guys...i know there is something wrong somewhere

I it shared hosting, VPS, or dedicated? How many members are online everyday?

its a shared hosting ( golden plan) with 100 GB of space and 1 TB of bandwidth/month

140-150 members online daily

Your forum doesn't seem to be using too much, but the cPanel load shows the whole server load, which means that other users on the servers are using a lot of the resources. Judging by your plan, your host is overselling.

The server that you are on is overloaded. You may consider moving to a different host.

100GB of space and 1TB of bandwith costs about $50 for the host, if you are paying alot less than that, then you gotta wonder where the costs are being cut.

Good Luck. They have no clear way of telling who on the server is causing all the load. But one thing's for sure - your users banging on their keyboards trying to get it to work will bring you to the top of the list.

I don't think moving to a different host should be the first thing he tries. More like the last.
Keep in touch with tech support and let them know when the load is occurring. Assuming you haven't changed anything recently, let them know that. Assuming there are times you have x users and the load is low, let them know that. Long before you change hosts I'd ask them to move you to a different server.
