Post Count Management

I necroed a post about this yesterday, but I think a new thread would be more appropriate. We are using VB 3.7.1. We would like to have a way to hide (not delete) the post count of all staff members. Since the staff is quite large and changes fairly often, it would be nice if this could be done via a secondary usergroup or some kind of plugin. So far, I haven't found anything that has this feature and no built in methods. Does anyone have ideas?

Just wrap places where it displays the post counts with conditionals:

<if condition="!is_member_of($bbuserinfo, X, Y, Z)">CODE</if>

Where X, Y and Z are IDs of staff usergroups.

Thank you! Where you have CODE between the > <, what would be the statement? Something like "$show['postcount']" but with a negative in there somewhere?

You have to find where the post count is displayed in the postbit (find $post[posts]), and put that in the middle of it.

The negative goes only before is_member_of(). Like so:

<if condition="!is_member_of($bbuserinfo, X, Y, Z)">$show['postcount']</if>
