On my vbul forum I have one section in which the text within the first post of the thread frequently does not appear. It is only in this one section of the forum -- a section in which we need to merge a lot of threads. I'm sure we are merging the threads correctly...and it does not happen to every thread, but to MANY of them (first post simply is blank, but the title is fine)
My webmaster thought maybe it had to do with the fact that the threads in this section all have a date in the title using slashes (ie Manhattan, 6/16/08), but again, it does not happen to all threads with such titles. Not sure what to do next here....any suggestions? |

To troubleshoot this, please remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. If your problem still exists, please create a new Style with no Parent set. Now browse the forum using this new style, do you still have the same problems? If you are troubleshooting login or guest issues, you will need to set this style as board default in the vBulletin Options. |
