I've noticed that vBadvanced uses a similar product licensing/download system to what vb.com does. Is this a publicly available mod or custom coding shared between the two portals? I'd appreciate if someone could clarify this as I'm looking for a similar system.

vBulletin.com's system is designed by themselves and will not have been shared with vBAdvanced. Both are not publicly available modifications (AFAIK).

I don't know what vBAdvanced is using, but the system used for vBulletin is not a modifcation that can be downloaded.
