I tried looking for it, but I couldn't seem to find any discussion on/for a hack that would allow you the create another post count for certain sections.

Example: If you have a spam section withing your forums, you could have a regular post count, and a "Spam post count".

Is there a hack like that?

It would be certainly possible - but I don't think there is a modification that does this currently.
