SLow loading of arcade.php

Hi,

When I try to view my arcade.php page, it takes a while to load, like 10-20 seconds. If I click on the games, the page loads normally. It also gives me a "MySQL server has gone away" error whenever I click on 'Your Rankings' link. The scores aren't being saved at times either. Sometime it saves, sometimes it doesn't so I don't know how to solve that problem, even when I change the time for it to save the score.

I also get this error : This score was not submitted from the game. Your score will not be saved.
I know my server is not slow since it's a dual quad harpertown at 2.0ghz and 6gb of ram. My load is usually around 1.5-2.0 so no problem here either.

The 'your ranking' page still gives me the db error that mysql has gone away
