Please vb.org, fix the search bar.
Form field values in the search form at the top of every page need to be carried with us throughout navigation, or at least to the results page. I realize there are more important things to tend to (upgrading to 3.7.1), but this is a huge part of navigation the mods section which is why most of us come here and it would save a lot of time.

Huh? Could you explain further?

Sure...
When a search is performed, the search variables should be carried to the results page. Say I searched for "paypal" in "3.7 Mods" in "Titles Only". When I press Search and am presented with the results, my searchbar should still read "paypal" in "3.7 Mods" in "Titles Only". The chances are pretty high that my next search will be very similar with only one field changed if I do not find what I am looking for. It's common practice to carry the search form input to the search results page. |

Hmm, not sure if this is a good idea or not.

Seems reasonable, albeit optional, to me.

I agree with Greg-J, almost all other search boxes maintain the previous input. It is annoying having to lose a search to press the back button in order to edit my previous input a tiny bit.
Common example would be when searching with & without quotes, you have to either enter in all of the search again or return to the previous page and add in the quotes. Personally, I don't see why it is not a good idea... |

I agree with the above, I dont know how many times I have had to hit back to edit my search slightly... |

Does the search bar on your website do this? This isn't a vb default... I don't think they need to fix anything. Nothing is broken...
While it is a good idea, it is wrong to assume something is broken just because it does not work exactly the way you want it to. Requesting a new feature and asking them to fix something that never worked the way you are explaining are 2 different things. |
