I have one upper forum with many, many smaller categories, instead of assigning # orders to them, is there anyway to just allow them to sort alphabetically by their titles?

Also, what is the template to edit how subforums are displayed? I would prefer subforums to be displayed in columns and rows instead of subforum 1, subforum 2, subforum 3, etc.

Search for Cyberntic advanced sub forum manager that will take car of your second question.

The first one would probably require a plugin
