I guess the default is 50...but I can't find how to increase the number of PM's members can have in thier PM folders. Can anyone tell me how?

It's a Usergroup Permissions setting.

ACP > Usergroup Manager > Edit User Group > Private Message permissions > Maximum Stored Messages.
