Default Widespread outage

Hi...
I lease a dedicated server from a smaller company, and on Thursady May 15 at 10am central my forum went down. I called the owner of the company(he's usually very accesible) and he told me that there was a major outage where the data center is..in Dallas,Tx.
I'm getting worried though, here it is Sunday, I haven't been able to contact him, since first day it happened, his email is down too. He had voicemail but thats not picking up either.
I won't name the company because the owner has always been very good to me and reliable, I just am curious if anyone has heard of a major outage in Dallas area, or anywhere for that. I just wish I'd hear something ....kinda gets frustrating and there has to ba a good reason why he can't contact .....

Nothing listed for Texas here:
http://www.internettrafficreport.com/namerica.htm

That doesn't mean that the data center itself hasn't been cutoff though. A lot of things can cause localized interruptions.

Last time I talked to him Thursday he said it was widespread affecting many companies and servers.

.....The name of the company is Lighti.Net. If I don't hear from him by tomorrow I'll be posting Has Anyone Seen Lighti.Net.

I hate doing something like that, but it's been since Thursday, not a word fron them, no phone, emails bounce back nothing. Haven't had any calls from them either.

I need to find out if anyone is having the same problem with Lighti.Net I can't keep my members on hold forever and I don't even know forsure if it's around anymore..Lighti.

Sorry Steve...but I had to ..

There are data centers here in California that support up to 400 companies on their networks. A hosting company can be as small as a single server in a rack or require their own data center. I know my host only has a couple of machines in the data center. But the data center isn't very large either as the entire building is solar powered.
