Is there a plug-in or hack that will Show a Message when the member logs in?

Maybe I'm missing something if this already exists.

If I place this in the wrong area I'm sorry, please correct me if needed.

shows a message to whom.. to him OR you OR someone else ??

do you want to show up a welcome sort of message to him on login... if yes, then why looking for a hack?? use the notices feature in vB 3.7
