Right now Member profile is displaying horizantal ..i want to change it to vertical

display member profile vertically ??? not sure what you mean..

the link you provided is to a thread.. I think you are looking for the vertical postbit style.
all you have to do is to switch to postbit_legacy template

go to admincp->vbulletin options->style and language settings->Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template-> set to Yes

This is what you are looking for !!

go to admincp->vbulletin options->Forum Listings Display Options->Depth of Sub forums->Set it to 1.

This should solve your problem ..
