Default Notify Admin of every post

Am i blind or is this feature still missing? Especially on small boards and if you have a few of them it would be nice for admins to get an instant email notification of every new post.

Is there probably an addon anyone knows from?

There is a place inside the forum manager that allows you to add an email for notification of new posts to a forum.

ok but that means i have to set this up for every forum, right?

I thought about a simple "notify admin of all forum posts"... of course senseless for bigger forums but especiall for small niches or small support forums this would be a good feature.

Well, if it is a smaller site, then there shouldn't be too many forums to do this with, right?

What is the difference between checking your email and just going to check the board? It would be far more tedious to go through emails clicking links e.t.c. and then going to the hassle of deleting the emails.

It would seem easier just to go to the board and use the "New posts" feature or even just use the status icons that appear next to forums/threads to show new posts.

Plain Simple: Email is a passive check (Program runs the whole day and rings on new mail arrival) - forum check is an active check. To be quick on checking new posts you have to check the forums manually on an hourly basis or something. With email notifications you won't have to check if there's no new message.

I wouldn't ask if it wouldn't make things easier (for me). Everyone who doesn't need this can feel lucky

I agree - I have a small board and need to respond quickly to any post.
An e-mail is easy to montor, especially on travel,
I know I can add my address to each forum, however, since I have 100+ forums this is a PITA to add.

Could I ask what the board is? I have trouble getting my head around 100 forums with so few posts that you want email notification for each one.

Perhaps less forums, more threads?

Hmm, although I do not see any use of this Mod but since some need this, I have made one for you guys.

It is used within the company for development and communication, it works well for that purpose.
