Database Errors: mySQL error 1054
Last night I attempted to install this mod on my vBulletin 3.7 forum: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=168895
The installation seemingly did nothing so I uninstalled it through the Product Manager. Unfortunately following this I've received nothing but mySQL errors ever since. Here are some of the "1054" errors (there are additional ones referring to various unknown columns): http://www.nohomers.net/errors.txt I would just restore my board to the latest backed-up version, but the same day this happened my host suffered major corruption on their backup storage unit and, as I write this, they think a database restoration is not possible. I've attempted reimporting vbulletin-language.xml, reuploaded all the original vB non-image files, removed any other .xml files from the includes directory, disabled the plugin system in config.php, ran upgrade.php again, repaired all tables in phpmyadmin... no luck with anything. It should be noted that I cannot access the admin CP or any page on my forums. I'm trying to repair a forum with 1.8 million posts and seven years of data, so any help would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks. |

You said you looked for extra files in the includes directory, but what about include/xml. Sometimes they get put there.

I checked out that directory too; sorry for being unclear.

If you didnt allow top posters to complete before you un-installed it, then you probably corrupted your db, import a backup or you could try to add the phasegroups back manually thru phpmyadmin.
Even though Paul replied to 3 people that claimed the same thing, that hack can corrupt a db if the script isnt allowed to finish, i can say this as i seen it happen myself. As some of those phasegroups are default, this isnt a xml issue with other hacks either. |

Yup in regards to the "top posters" mod that's likely exactly what happened.
I'm obviously not a genius in regards to mySQL, so I'll likely be importing a backup of the database from last year (as I said, the recent backups made of the database are also corrupt due a horribly inconvenient situation with my webhost) I'll be saving this corrupt version of the database though. If anyone can assist me in adding phrasegroups back manually through my phpmyadmin I'd really appreciate it. Reply here, PM me, or email e@nohomers.net if you can help. Thanks. |

I think I have seen posts over on vb.com about adding back phrasegroups. You may want to look over there.
Also, I would suggest to take another look at your backup strategy for your site. Perhaps save the backups elsewhere? |

Thanks for the suggestions.
EDIT: Whew, my site's co-owner and I fixed the database manually. That was scary. |
