can other users repost modified styles?
There are some styles that I have found in 3.6.x and I have recoded them, added new icons from 3.7.x, and I have tried contating the author(s).
The author(s) have claimed they do not support their older styles, do not have any plans on revising them, moved on to a new style, or they haven't logged in for X amount of time. So, since I would like to share the newly revamped and hand coded designs, what can I do? Anyways, thank you in advance for answering my questions. |

told no, for what? I asked, "what can I do?"

You cant release it without authors permision.

Even if all the credit is towards and links point to the original author's post?
and if the author is non-existant (website and contact info doesn't work); I still want to give the full credit (what was originally there). Boy, I feel like all that work just for myself was useless, if that is true. |

But why not start a new template, and base your work off of the previous work and then just give a shout out to whoever designed it. |

You can not release the work of others without their explicit permission.
