What would be the best way to do this?

I have a forum with many forum categories, and sub-forums.

We have banner graphics made for each of the forums and were wondering if there is an easy way to either insert the banners above each forum on the index OR even better would be when you click on the forum the main site banner above changes to the one specified and named for the given forum.

Anyone know of any mods that could do anything like this?
