Here's my situation:
I had 3.7.0 RC1 installed, which I am trying to upgrade to gold version. I have overwritten all the files and uploaded everything in the folder. I have also uploaded the new config.php file, after editing it with all my db settings. When I run the upgrade script at /install/upgrade.php it still shows RC1 in the top right hand corner and when I run the upgrade script, its still showing as RC1. I have made sure its the gold version that I downloaded, by downloading it 3 times from vb.com member area. What do I do? |

Did it show RC1 when you started the upgrade, or when it was completed and you returned to the AdminCP? Also in the upper right corner of upgrade.php there is a list of 4 xml-files, are they all showing the correct version?

No, all of the files in the top right hand corner are showing as RC1, there are 5 listed, not 4.
I have downloaded the zip file numerous times, but it still keeps showing RC1 |

hum, this is impossible... maybe your /install/ directory is write protected so you can't upload the right files...
try by deleting the entire /install/ directory and replace it with the new Gold... then when entering the upgrade process you're supposed to see the right files... if you are not, maybe it is time to check if you are upgrading the right site.. lol |

Then you have not uploaded all the 3.7 Gold files.

I recently upgraded just today and i had the same problem. I found that i had to run the /install/upgrade_370.php file before uploading the new files and then upload the files. After this everything worked fine.

That doesn't sound like a good solution.
- You should never run the individual upgrade scripts. Always run upgrade.php and this will perform the steps needed. - If you have not uploaded the files, how come you have the upgrade_370.php file? Upgrading is simple: Upload all files and run upgrade.php. |
