vBulletin is not unhackable. Nothing is unhackable. Well, except a computer not connected to anything but the power source

But, if vBulletin's main code is found to be exploited, I've seen it patched within hours of the exploit being found.

yea, they just keep on the ball!

but anyways, reason why this happened was because I installed the vbjirc system but the vbjirc.php page wouldnt carry over my forums style so I moved all the files into the root directory not noticing the index.html file.

We all have these common mistakes. Infact, I'm creating a integrated vBulletin Video site, and I kind of had that issue. I was working on "index.php" and forgot I had a "INDEX.TEMP" in the directory (I've configured Apache to have INDEX.TEMP show over any index if it's access towards /Videos/) and I was like "What the heck is going on.."
