Vbulletin's use in Intranets
So I have been left in charge of my companies Diminished Intranet as the IT guy has decided it's no longer worth his time to maintain. The problem with this is he decided to write it himself originally in ASP.
It's Ugly. It's non functioning, And our employees despise using it. But it does function. I"m thinking of blowing it away in hopes to finding some already written application or scripts that will do the jobs we need And i'm thinking VBulletin might be the answer. Here are our requirements. [LIST][*] Easy to use and Navigate[*] Functional[*] User Level Security[*] Group Level security[*]Different section for each of our departments (HR, IT, Sales etc).
And this is all I can really think of. I'm open to thoughts and suggestions. |

vBulletin is discussion forum software. To be honest, unless your employees need to regularly make posts to each other in a bulletin board format, vBulletin is probably not the right solution. There's certainly no searchable document storage available out of the box.
