Integration with vBulletin - C&D Comm - Social Networking

Here is a social networking script modeled after Myspace. This is a separate script that runs by itself. I have integrated the user login's from vb so that browsing is seamless.

Requirements
PHP 4.4.7+
Compiled with GD2
MySQL 4.1.x+

Installation is fairly easy. There is an installation instruction file in the zip.

You should turn off registration on the forum and remove the logout/login links. All registration through the script will create forum accounts for new users.

For profile links to work, you need to edit your .htaccess file and add the following lines

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^p_(.*) view_profile.php?urlname=$1

The script does zero modification to your vb tables and files, so if you don't like it you can just delete the cnd_* tables and files and your back to how you were before.

Some admin functionality was disable for the demo site. Cannot delete/ban accounts, cannot change configuration of the script.

So what im getting out this is that it basically allows for u to search for other people? I dont see any extra functions from the screenshots.

why is this in vbulletin ? am confused is this an add on to vbulletin? if yes .. will it take the same colors etc from vb forum or will it have its own style and colors?

It's a social networking script. The profile info, messaging, groups, etc are all outside of vb.
I've been working on it for a while, well before 3.7, so there is some cross over functionality that exists in both.

It's a seperate script that integrates with vbulletin.
The colors don't carry over, you can set most of the default colors through the admin area for now. I'm working on pulling in some of the colors from vb.

What does this offer that is not already included in vbulletin 3.7?

I'm not sure really I haven't played with 3.7 much yet. I was asked to make it work with 3.7, so I posted it here since it works. Not sure if users can customize how their profile looks in vb with their own colors and background? Pretty much, if myspace doesn't do anything that vb 3.7 does then I guess my script would be in the same boat.

Yes, profiles can be customized. It has groups, friends, albums and much more. It doesn't have the myspace mp3 player.
