How do I view the actual amount of REP points?

I am a mod on a board. I just turned on the REP system. Is there a way FROM THE FORUM to view how many points someone has?

1. Is there a way already?
2. It would be AWESOME/BEST if I could hover over the dot/pip thing and see a number instead if that silly text.

You could try:

AdminCP > VBulletin Options > Thread Display Options (showthread) > 'Display Reputation Power'

It will show up on the forum like below:
