Dual Version Vbulletin
Can 2 installations of vbulletin run off of the same database??? I want to run my 3.6.8 board with a 3.7.0 board (sub-domain) but have the same member information available. Because on 1, I want to keep my current features, on the second, I want to make a board with a special plug-in.

It may be possible, however you will require 2 Licenses to do such things. You may find it easier to run a scheduled task every X hours which just updates one the databases with information from the other database. (i.e. Close forum A to registrations, get everyone to register on Forum B and then run a script to update from Forum B to Forum A)

I dont think is possible. The tables have changed unless u are gonna write a complicated script to pull particular data out of 3.7 and then port over to 3.6 but then u are gonna run into issues with information collision.

The only way to run two versions side by side is using separate tables, but have a bridge merging information. And even then, you'll probably get a lot of disparities.

So it probably would be better if I just upgraded my board huh? Oh well. lol. I guess I'll just wait till the final version of.3.7 is released and upgrade...
