Private Forums Disappear After Login
I'm new to this, so please forgive the inanity of the question. I've set up a forum for our customers with some general forums and a private forum for specific classes of customers. If you go to the site, all forums are visible. If you log on, however, all the private forums disappear.
I would like to configure it so that the existence of the private forums are visible to all users, but the content of the private forums is hidden from all users except those explicitly authorized for that content. I've fiddled with this for awhile, and can't quite get it to work. Can someone kindly steer me in the right direction? Thanks! |

Hi mate,
You need to go to usergroup permissions, you can then do this for each type of member (guests, registered, banned) one by one. If you need a hand I can help you |

For the private forums, I believe the correct settings would be osmething like:
Can View Forum - Yes Can View Thread content- No Then you should be good to go. |

I was on the right track, but it looks like I didn't see the 'View Forum' to yes in the parent forum, only the individual subforms.
Thanks for the help! |
