Replace forum URL's?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how I could make it so my forum shows the forum name in the URL instead of the forumid?
For example, right now it shows: www.rpanime.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=6 I want it to say: http://www.rpanime.com/forums/member...edge-base.html I have seen this on a few sites, and I like the idea. I want to keep the urls as short as possible, and not also expose the ids of the threads, posts, etc. Does anyone know what I would need to do that? Thanks in advance. |

you need a tool that rewrites the URL's
you can check out vbseo (recommeneded) and nuhit's nuseo. There are a few others floating around vb.org that are free, but i don't know if they work anymore or not |

Im just curious, why does VB not have this built in like most other software does?
Seems a bit of a basic mod to have? |
