As a member can now moderate his own social group, I was wondering if anyone could come up with a hack that would allow that member to allow other members of his social group to moderate/accept members etc

I'm looking for the excact same thing. This seems to be an essential function, since a social group now pretty much dies when a group leader gets inactive.

I was wondering about this also. Some people who created a group didn't realize they would be in charge of moderating it and aren't necessarily up for the job.
