Need a little help, colour conflict

Hello everyone, not had VB for long and couldn't find much searching so sorry if this has been addressed before.

I am currently working on a new style, however I have come across a few problems.

First of all, my first and second alternating colours are darkish blue, so my first and second alternating text colours are close to white, however this causes problems elsewhere such as in certain areas involving the text editor where the text is then the same colour as the background, I will show you what I mean in this screenshot.

As you can see, with #cccccc for first alternating colour text, in places involving the text editor the text is similar to the background, also you can see that having legend set to #cccccc also makes the Smilies word not show up well, make it darker though so you can see it, and a whole lot more text elsewhere will be too dark to see on the blue.

Alt text colour ALSO changes the bordering around certain text areas, changing alt1 changed the border around the edit post area as you can see with the pink, but it didn't change anything on the standard editor when posting.

I could solve all this maybe by just darkening the whole wysiwyg editor background, but that would also leave the border the same colour as alt1 text which would still be brighter than the editor and look nasty.

Is there a simpler solution to this other than making the entire editor darker? Such as giving the border/text a different CSS .tag and adding it to Additional CSS Definitions? And how would I go about this? My knowledge goes about as far as changing simple colour codes and copying/pasting other code.
