Changing the 'From' address of forum notification emails

As far as I can see, thread and forum posting notification emails are sent with the 'From:' address of the Forum Webmaster as set up in the main contact details section of 'Options'.

I gather it is only possible to change this 'from' address to something else with a code hack.
Anyone done this or can point me in the right direction?

(The reason I ask is that as we use daily notification, I get 100+ 'Out of Office' replies every day!!)
