Security Tips?
Hi,
Now my board is installed. Should I ensure that file/folder permissions are set to something special? Allot of my php files are set @ 755 and folders @ 755 Should I manually set them to something specific to lessen the chance of been hacked? I was thinking of HT accessing me mods and admin folder.. wise or un-needed? Thanks! |

Please see http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...ring_vbulletin for security suggestions and http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...letin_restrict for file permissions. Generally directories are 755 and files are 644 but it can depend/vary, and yes, using htaccess is better than no htaccess, as it adds another layer of protection.
