Hi
I am trying to perform an upgrade on my forum to vB 3.7 Beta 5. However, whenever trying to run the upgrade file, I get a database error with this message: Database error in vBulletin : mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) /home/disneyma/public_html/vbulletin/includes/class_core.php on line 305 How can I fix this? Thanks |

You really need to read the docs, or you're going to run into a lot more problems. This is pretty much the very first section of the upgrade instructions.

![]() Code:
// ****** MASTER DATABASE USERNAME & PASSWORD ****** // This is the username and password you use to access MySQL. // These must be obtained through your webhost. $config['MasterServer']['username'] = 'YOURDBUSER'; $config['MasterServer']['password'] = 'YOURDBPASS'; |
