What's this like server wise?
A shared hosting account enough? How many queries? Does it take a lot of bandwidth if many people view and play? Server Intensive? Regards Jason ![]() Show Your Support

Yes, shared hosting is enough. Remember that games have some kB and are transferred to the clients each time they are played and not in local cache, so traffic may increase depending on the amount of games you offer.
Serverload should be no problem |

Are the games hosted on your own server, or do you get them from sites??

Surely that would increase server load? Does this go in the same database as your forums?

games are not stored in database, but in /arcade folder inside your forum's structure.
the games are .swf (flash) format, and player's browser download the games to their client and they are played there, so there is some traffic for all games played. |
