Why won't member.php work outside the forum directory?
I moved member.php to a whole different directory
I have www.domain.com/forum/member.php I moved it to www.domain.com/users/member.php I went through the entire file and changed all the include paths so they are correct. However, when I try to access it at the new location, it just gives me a white page. Any ideas? |

The files members.php includes also include more files... your best bet is to chdir the file into the proper directory rather than trying to change paths around.

chdir the file?

Doubt that will ever work. You can not just split some vBulletin files to a different directory as all the includes (and the includes within those) rely on the default vBulletin directory setup.

Even with chdir? I tried chdir but it didn't work.

Your best bet would be to duplicate the functions you want in a custom file. Like Marco said these files aren't coded to be in other directories so you will encounter many problems to which there is no point trying to fix as it will be a heck of a lot of work.
Set up the other member.php page to redirect to your forum member.php page. Or else you can try creating your own page: How to create your own vBulletin-powered page! (uses vB templates) |
