[Help] How to use custom templates?

Hello,

I got a problem when trying to use custom templates.

I created new templates named banner ( with some code, with this way it help me easier to edit banner)

Then in header template. I want to call banner template. I did:

$banner

nothing happened, forum didnot load it. Then i tried:

$template_hook[banner]

Also nothing happened.

How can i call it?
