2 column style puzzle- forums start below left column

2 column style puzzle- forums start below left column

eg. MinerSkinz FancyRed has a left column with Member Area login box , Forum Info, Partner Links.
When I apply those 2 column styles, my forum headings don't appear until below the Partner Links, so there is a big white space below the navbar and the forums.
How do I get the forums to wrap up into that white space?
