it is, but not permitted to do it on the official sites...

you have to open a support ticket on vb.com to check if your license is eligible to be sold afaik

I received, from vbulletin, notification that my license is eligible to be sold. What information would I need to provide to the buyer besides the license number or is that enough?

And yes, have him contact the sales at vb to see if the license is valid.

as you received the notification, why didn't you ask them back ?!.. Jelsoft are the guys who can answer your questions...

You can offer the license-id and your name to a potential buyer, so he can verify himself if a license is eligible for transfer.

To actually transfer the license you do not need to provide any information to him. You will need to contact Support with a transfer request. You will receive a questionaire to answer in order to initiate the transfer. Before the transfer is made permanent we will also contact the suggested new owner to verify the transfer. Once the transfer is complete the buyer will recieve a new Customer Number & Licensenumber.

The site I am selling it at said they needed to verify the license so they would know if it was legitimate. So they provided me the "okay" that they received from vbulletin.
