User ID in bbcode_parse_start

Hello,
In the bbcode_parse_start hook I'd like to be able to access the userid of the current poster.

I do not mean the currently logged in user.

Hard to explain but you would access it this way if it were a template edit:

$post[userid]

[Opserty]

Try:

$this->post['userid']

[alexgeek]

No luck :/
